Reserve Beach Boat Launch/Retrieval Service Rules of Operations
YOU MUST READ AND UNDERSTAND THIS ENTIRE DOCUMENT
-We will NOT enter your watercraft or be on your trailer. You will drive your trailer to the beach to a specified parking area. From there we will hook up to your trailer and back you into the water.
-Have completed a signed liability and damage waiver. You will be able to obtain this online and hopefully bring with you for launching. We only need one for the entire season.
-On Saturday’s and holidays, we will have a full time person there to service this activity. It will be on a first come first serve basis. We will commence at 8 am and go until 8 pm. For all other days, we will use our existing staff to meet the needs of a launch and retrieval.
-We will limit the launched trailers to 20 in order to not create long waiting lines on the retrieval.
-We reserve the right to deny service on any given day depending on lake conditions and upon boat size. In general any boat over 24 feet will be subject to review for launch.
-We also reserve the right to recommend that if conditions are getting bad and wave height is growing, you get off lake and if it is determined it is too dangerous to load boat back onto trailer that you head to State Park for loading. Bear Lake can become extremely violent in short time periods. It is incumbent upon you to be aware of conditions and understand the unloading process in an unprotected setting. For everyone’s safety and the protection of your watercraft and trailer, we again state that we will be the ones that decide if we will enter the water for a launch or retrieval.
-Our employees will NOT get in the water at any time to assist you in this process. They will drive the tractor.
-For retrieval, we will do it on a first come first serve basis. When you are ready to load your watercraft for the day, you will come to our booth on beach and we will have a white board with the waiting line. No preferences will be given to a certain type of boat nor any demands of a customer. It will be done based on the queue with no exceptions.
-You must certify that your water craft is muscle free with the appropriate forms. We will have forms at the beach and it must be present in your vehicle at all time for inspection by both Idaho State Lands and Idaho Parks and Recreation officers. If you watercraft has been out of the Bear Lake Valley you will have had to past inspection on re-entry into the valley.
Costs of Service:
Cost of the service will be $20.00 per day with unlimited load/retrieval for that given day. To expedite this process, cash will be preferred but credit cards can be processed. We will also offer a season pass for $200.00 with unlimited loads/retrievals for the season. (Memorial Day to Labor Day) You will be subject to the same loading procedures and waiting lines. If you desire to purchase an annual pass, please email us at [email protected] with formal request and we will call you to take payment and secure paperwork.
If you cannot abide by these terms, we respectfully will not be able to launch your watercraft. These rules are for the safety of our employees, you, your guests, protect Bear Lake and its beachfront, and to keep order.
Thanks for your understanding and cooperation
